Chapter 4: The Mission

The Silva family set off for Cite de Reboldeoux via the Leonardo Express. The carriage that was provided to them was one of the fastest probably as they have begun crossing the Ferruccio Junction already just as the sun have full risen.

Everyday, there are carriages set for Cite de Reboldeoux, all by the special orders of the Vespanolan government since all new pioneers who have set land in Granado Espada under the Reconquista Policy must register themselves at the Civic Center of the city under the supervision of the Pioneering Support Officer, Sir Llyndon.

Still as Lucrezia gazes upon the crystal clear blue sky spanning across the vast green grasslands and peaceful mountains, her thought and musing lies deeply into the piece of paper that they have read.

"We are close, probably around 20 minutes more." Said Lucius as he entered their cabin. He seemed to have been in conversation with the chauffeur of the carriage they are riding. Lucius noticed Lucrezia holding in grip the letter that was left by the mysterious man from the events the night before. Like her, he too have been contemplating on what the entire letter meant or what it is meant for.

Was it deliberately left there for them to see? Does the man have something to do with the Reichters? What happened to them back then? Then there were named mentioned, he assumed there were several people with the same name. He could not possibly track down the Reichter's by the names he has with him. Then there was a short part of the entry pertaining to "IT". He could never be sure what it really meant.

Lucrezia noticed confusion, anger and frustration in Lucius' eyes. She understands. She's feeling the same also. However, there has to be someone who is strong headed enough among the two of them to keep them on track without needless emotion blocking their way.

Register at the Civic Center. Go to Princess Gabriella. Ask about the Reichters. Head for the City of Auch.

They can't afford to side-track and they still have their duty for their Kingdom to do:

The Kingdom of Luxem being a small country who has no real source of income except for tourists who wish to have a quiet time at the mountains or for old people who would like to take a permanent vacation, the events of the Three Year War really took the toil on them. The Three Year War where Vespanola participated and probably ignited, have damaged several resources for their country as well as to surrounding lands, among them is the Kingdom of Luxem. Trade and Tourism has been very low for Luxem and they are on the verge of facing economic downfall with their towering debts from surrounding nations.

Years passed and Vespanola regained her wealth, while leaving Luxem in the brink of dissolving itself as a country. Vespanola however, with its overflowing gratitude payed for Luxem's entire debt saving the nation from utter financial crisis. Upon creation of the Reconquista Policy, the Queen of Vespanola invited the citizens of Luxem to become pioneers of Granado Espada. King Khaimas, the new king them at first did not want, but since the Queen, through her ambassadors which she practically deployed throughout the Kingdom "asks" him to reconsider. It was an act of passive aggression, indirectly giving the order to participate or suffer the consequences. Without any choice left, King Khaimas sent members of his nation to join the pioneering and along them, as his greatest gift to the Queen of Vespanola, some of the members of his 2nd and 4th families.

The Queen was pleased with this decision, thus recalling her "ambassadors" and leaving the kingdom of Luxem at peace.

Like a fleeting second, they have arrived at the Queen's Gate where one of the guards of the city have asked to to come to a halt for inspection. It took them extra longer than they have expected.

Lucius opened the cabin door and went down ahead. He looked ahead and there were a couple more carriages in queue at the main entrance of the city. There were also soldiers from the city deployed and all of them were either making scrutinizing inspections of the carriages or in look-out for anything suspicious.

The chauffeur moved close to Lucius and said apologetically, "Sorry for the delay, it seems that they have received information that the more patriotic Republicans are planning a riot in this part of the city. Of course the Royalists would not allow this, which is why these measures are being done."
Lucius nodded. He understands perfectly. It was like that also a few days after the decision of King Khaimas to sent its citizens for the Queen of Vespanola. Peaceful rallies have been happening day in day out and riots have occurred once or twice. Lucius then looks at the sky thinking how it is now there in Luxem. Before he and Lucrezia left, there was a rally ongoing at the main city.

Lucrezia then followed down and tried to look for herself what was happening.

Then a soldier came running towards to who seems to be leading this part of the group. The captain then sends a signal to the other soldiers. They came running back towards the main gate, leaving everything that they were doing at that moment.

Then explosions at different areas of the city. All the gates to the city were blocked.

Had to stop here for a while. I've started with the new CORAT series. Same main characters and story line but I'll be tweaking the personalities of the characters a bit (to make full use of the Pose Actions) and the story line so it could survive in a hybrid of fanfic novel and comic setting.
