My little gift

Good day gamers!

Another post update has been made. Rather: "posts".

Since it's Christmas season I have a little of my extra time to update the CORAT 2 series. Here are 3 chapters from the CORAT 2 series to keep you updated.

The plot has been revealed, but not to worry coz I will try my best not to keep it straightforward from there. Also, we now have our team of 3! The main protagonists for this CORAT arc.

As you have noticed, the Silva Family Chronicles was there to introduce the setting and the background of the story. The Reichters are here to play the real story. We hope you have fun reading.

More chapters, blog revamp and features to come soon.

Chapter 4: The Marionettes

Catherine: Come out now. [said a very calm voice]

And slowly, there were small marionettes erupting from the ground. They were different looking from each other. There was a lady with long wavy brown hair wearing a black dress, an old man wearing suspenders and a rifle in his arm, a woman floating in midair in a french-maid outfit holding out a broom, a man with a lantern in his hand and a larger creature with clenched fists.

A gunshot had hit Bach's hair making him twitch, giving time for Misia to escape. Then he felt a sort of a shock making him numb for a while.

Bach: Argh. So Torsche continues to interfere.

Stein: I will not forgive you for what you have done. Give me the crests.

Bach: Can you not see Stein? I will give you time to think. I have all the time in the world... but your time is limited. I give you 7 days to hand over your part of the crest.

Stein: If we do not do that?

Bach: [takes out a ribbon from his coat]

Stein: That's Irmgard's

Bach: I will see you in 7 days. At the Old Lighthouse.

[A warp gate appeared behind Bach. He went inside and disappeared.]

Stein: No!

Misia: Lord Stein!

Stein: Misia... It's nice to see you again. It would be better if circumstances weren't as such.

Misia: I agree. I'm sorry Lord Stein. Lord Bach freed me from the Joaquin Prison. I thought I could trust him, so I led him to you. I am so stupid.

Stein: It's okay. Perfectly understandable. At this dire times, we are looking for friends. The ones we expect are those who don't turn up, and we see the most unexpected to be the ones to lend us a hand... [stares at Catherine]

Misia: Thank you Catherine.

Stein: But Lord Bach. He has never used space magic before. What could that be?

Catherine: A darker magic assists him...

Stein: Catherine?

Catherine: I was sent by my Master to personally accompany you to him.

Stein: What is happening? Why does Dr. Torsche concern himself with us?

Catherine: He will explain to you fully. Let us make haste for it is almost evening. Dark magic is strongest at night.

Stein: I understand.

Catherine: Let us rest at Auch, and from there... to my master's mansion.

Chapter 3: Thicker than blood

Misia: (We were fast than expected. Lord Bach's connection brought us to the Desolate Cliff in no time.)

Bach: Where here?

Misia: There' s a hut at the top of the cliff. We have befriended the old man residing there.

Bach: I see.

Old Man: Misia Reichter? Is that you?

Misia: Yes sir. Is there anyway that Lord Stein is here right now?

Old Man: [stares at Bach]

Misia: It's okay. He is family.

Old Man: I understand. Let me just get him. Lord Stein. You have visitors.

Misia: He is here!

[And the door opens]

Stein: Misia!

Misia
: Lord Stein!

Bach: It's nice to see you again Stein. [Bach grabs Misia's arm and points a gun to her]

Misia: Lord Bach!!!

Stein: What is the meaning of this?

Bach: Hand over the crest!

Stein: What?! Why? What do you want to happen Lord Bach?

Bach: Ever rememebred when we were a little bit younger. That time when we did not have a solution to Luxem's problems. When Luxem was in its deepest... that long nadir of pain and sorrow. That was unacceptable. And what did the king do?! Sell out pioneering families to Vespanola. This sparked the hate in me. My hate for the Kingdom of Luxem.

Stein: You know it was not Luxem's fault. It was Vespanola! It took advantage of our country.

Bach: And the king just accepted it. All my life I have lived in the King's castle. If you only knew the immoralities of the royal family. If you only witnessed it first hand. What happened to Luxem was what the royal family deserved! Not us. Not the people. This is for change Stein. Change!

Stein: You wish to start a revolution? Is that it?

Bach: No Stein... I already have.

Stein: What do you mean?

[Bach showed 4 small jewels pinned inside his coat.]

Stein: You have 4.

Bach: Yes. As we speak, Luxem is already in a civil war. Those who believe in me versus those who currently own the throne. And guess who has the upper hand?

Stein: You...

Bach: Yes! I was supposed to get hold of the crest, but upon my army's arrival to the King's throne room, the royal crest was already shattered to pieces. And the King, sitting in his throne dead by suicide. But no matter. All I have to do is remake the crest which the five families hold.

Stein: The royal duty of the the 5 families of Luxem. Guardians of the crest.

Bach: Precisely. I have learned this from the elders of Luxem. This is not a well known fact. Very few only hold this knowledge. That at the event Luxem would fall, the original crest will be destroyed and with it is the life of the King. And all of Luxem's hopes will be placed in the hands of the five families protecting Luxem.

Stein: What happened to the other three families?

Bach: The 5th Family, the Arches have succumbed to my will. The 3rd Family, the Mineratti have showed resistance. But it is futile. They are locked up at the deepest dungeons of Luxem for their insubordinance.

Misia: The Silvas! The Silvas are here in Granado Espada!

Bach: Which is why I came here personally. The Silva's crest was more difficult than I have imagined. Probably because I have to create my army here from the start. But with the help of powerful people, I was able to get the crest of the 2nd Family. Now all that is left is yours. Hand it over Stein. If you care for your name-sister's life!

Misia: No Lord Stein. This is his last crest. We cannot hand this over.

Stein: But...

Bach: Yes Stein. Would you rather suffer the dread of losing your only remaining family member for a piece of of the crest.

Stein: ...

Bach: So what will it be?
