Chapter 2: Escape

Misia: Lord Bach! What are you doing here?

Bach: For obvious reasons...

Misia: I mean, why are you here in Granado Espada?

Bach: Will tell you later, right now, we'll have to get your things.

Misia: Understood.

The two rushed outside the prison cell where they encountered the ones who were keeping Misia locked. They never realy showed themselves to Misia, except when they occasionally would bring her food, but she never saw their face, nor was she able to talk to them. Only now did she realize why...

Misia: They are the Lifeless...

Bach: Yes, and whoever imprisoned you here must know a great deal of black magic to be able to control these creatures.

Misia: Are we getting Lord Stein also?

Bach: I thought you would be the one telling me his whereabouts...

Misia: I see. Then we must hurry then.

Bach: Here are your things. If we are to get out of here alive, we will need all the fight we can get.

Misia: Okay. Thank you Lord Bach.

Lord Bach Belcrant, 1st son of the 1st family of Belcrant. The right hand of the Kingdom of Luxem, the first guardians. We have always looked up on the first family. They have always been the pioneers, the best in every aspect. I remember Lord Bach as the most excellent marksman in our region. He has always been praised deeply by the King.

And here I am, being rescued by him. There is great shame in what I am feeling now. We, the name-sisters, should be the ones aiding the royals, not the other way around. I am deeply humbled Lord Bach, my sincerest gratitude.

Bach
: We're almost there.

Misia: Wait.

Another lifeless spawned out of nowhere. It appeared different than the other creatures, it seemed more complete.

Bach: This one seems tough. Let's do this.

And in a series of strikes and slashes, the creature fell.

Bach: That solves that. We still need to get out of here.

Misia: Where to?

Bach: The main gate. It's the only access to the outside. There's no where else to go.

Misia: But we'll need to pass through them.

Bach: That's manageable. Let's go.

Bach: We're almost there.

And they made it.

Bach: Let's stay here.

Misia: ...

Bach: What's on your mind?

Misia: Everything happened so fast. But we still need to look for Lord Stein and Lady Irmgard.

Bach: Not just Stein and Mimi.

Misia: ... (Mimi... only Lord Bach calls her that. Lady Irmgard hates it but this feeling of familiarity makes me feel more secure.)

Bach: What?

Misia: Nothing Lord Bach. What do you mean by not just my name brother and sister?

Bach: Cyrus is here also. And so is Lucrezia and Lucius.

Misia: Lord Cyrus?! I thought he was left in Luxem? And the Silvas also? WHat are they doing here?

Bach: Cyrus came to follow you. I learned that he is heading for the Frozen Frontiers as we speak. I was not able to meet him personally.

Misia: The Katovic?

Bach: Yes. I'm am still unsure why. But that will be a long journey.

Misia: And the Silvas? How are they?

Bach: They came here to serve as pioneers for Vespanola, like you. But strange enough, I haven't leanred of their whereabouts yet.

Misia: Is this why you came?

Bach: Yes. We recieved word from Vespanolan emissaries that the Reichters and Silvas were nowhere to be seen. A search party has been initiated by the Pioneering service, but I wanted to make sure myself of everyone's safety. This has worried me a lot. So, do you have it?

Misia: What?

Bach: The crest...

Misia: I'm afraid its with Lord Stein.

Bach: Then we need to find him first. I have a bad feeling about this.

Misia: What do you mean?

Bach: Nevermind... Do you have any idea where he may be?

Misia: ... (I was told by Lord Stein that on the worst possible situation we would meet there. Just us and no one else...)

Bach: If you know. Let me know. So we can put and end to this.

Misia: At the desolate cliff.

Bach: At Porto Bello?

Misia: Yes, Lord Stein told me that if ever we were to lose each other. We would meet at the Porto Bello Desolate Cliff.

Bach: I see. Let us go then.

Misia: Yes, my lord.
